About teh Adoptables

So, I haz been learning quite a bit of PHP lately – I mean to be honest I understand how most of it works, but when it comes to coding from scratch I’m a nub. So yeah, I’ve learnt some of it and I’m pretty sure, with a bit of help from Tim (I mean it when I say a bit), I could add some really cool features to make us stand out.

The cliche styled adoptables is very very common and most don’t bother to edit the layout. Well I’ve planned this. It will be customized. There will be abandon features, Genders, Breeding, and hopefully ways to pay users if one of their adopts is in the top 10. (this would need some help). The adoptables isn’t confirmed yet, but I’m relatively sure it’ll go through. The user system will be integrated in, so you use the same login, and you’ll be able to show maybe 2 or 3 adoptables on your profile.

It’ll increase community involvement (hopefully) and make a new way for competition and to gain gold and coins. Obviously there will be promos and such, and maybe some adoptables will cost gold and coins (more fun xP)

Good news everyone!

Okay.. Well lets get started with this new post.. first of all, I’m not the fondest of this layout on the labs. So I might install wordpress onto the main site, for more customization. It’s quite late for me – I’ve been doing some Photoshop work and learning about tablets for the last 4 hours (among other stuff). Currently I get tired just by typing. Pathetic, I know

So, anyways, I must mention this somewhere: I got a tablet! Yayyy now I can plan much easier and draw directly rather then the tedious “scan and draw” method. I’m tired. My grammar sucks. shhh.

BACK TO TOPIC. The site is going well again and I do regular updates. With the release of the comic, things are moving forward and for the better. With Tim helping out, progress can easily be doubled since what takes me hours takes him minutes.. maybe more. So yeah, I got a few more things that I can do easily (but still takes time), so I don’t overload Tim. Stay tuned.

Okay, let’s be realistic

Well, progress is slow at the moment. I’ll be honest and say that I can’t say a deadline for anything planned. In the mean time i’ll be cleaning the pages, and finishing off the next main thing on my to do list: a Site Map, made with D/P graphics. Pretty cool huh?

Just gotta find the right tiles. I can, however say that the mass advertising campaign starts in about 3 weeks.

I didn’t do much this weekend, I know. I didn’t do much on Saturday, then on Sunday I had 30 mins internet access. So not much done. But I do small tidbits that you may not notice, and sometimes goes unannounced. Well I’ll try to remember to update this with all these small things. Anyways, current to-do list:

• More hits
• Finish style buying
• Add trainers
• Finish another style for the style buyer

Should be done soon, apart from the style buying. When I say “Add trainers” I mean so that admins can have a base use, not for public usage etc Finishing the shop is a whole different story.

So.. What’s coming up?

Well, as I mentioned on the previous news post, School starts soon. 2 days from now. This will mean fewer updates.. But, for now, dear visitors, I will mention a few more things that will be happening..

The Styles Buyer will be available soon..

And shortly afterwards, so will the Trainers.

Anyways, as you can see, the styles have somewhat changed to have curved borders. This took me around 40 minutes of the precious time left to me to make. Oh, and also the Profile got revamped so it now looks much more sleeker, not to mention less space consuming.

Hello, everyone!

Well, this is my first post on this shiny new blog – I now have two blogs, one for the labs, and one for my personal life, which is somewhat boring and is pretty much never updated. So, for the first entry, I shall reveal the plans of what is to be.

Fanfiction -  many people have heard of this about my site, but little information has been given. I started this project at the beginning of my holidays, and it’s gone alright, although progress is slow. It’s 70% finished, the characters for the first lets say 20 chapters have been made. The fanfic is based around the Pokemon world destruction – each of the main regions in chaos, and 3 heroes adventures as they make new friends and have an epic adventure saving the world, with Team Shadow helping them along the way..

More usage of the User system – Things like buying new styles, uploading files (done), Pokemon image gallery, blogging on the site and more are all coming soon, some taking longer then others.

A quest.. This is all I can say at the moment – it involves you and the fanfiction characters involved in a mega hunt around the site, meanwhile hanging out with the chars from the ‘fic, and earning badges which will be displayed on your profile. This is gonna take some time, as the fanfic must have a steady start before this even starts..
